OSWAPIC Member Spotlight FAQ and Policy

OVERVIEW

The OSWAPIC Member Spotlight program is designed to recognize and celebrate the achievements, contributions, and unique qualities of our members. By highlighting individual stories, we aim to foster a sense of community, inspire others, and showcase the diverse talents within our chapter.

PURPOSE

The OSWAPIC Member Spotlight is a way to recognize and celebrate OSWAPIC member's contributions, experiences, and achievements. It can also help build a sense of community, encourage engagement, and promote the value of membership.

ELIGIBILITY

1. Active Membership: Nominees must be active members of the OSWAPIC chapter.
2. Diversity: We encourage nominations that reflect the diversity of our chapter in terms of professional background, experience, and demographics.

NOMINATION PROCESS

1. Submission: Members can nominate themselves or others by submitting a nomination form available on the OSWAPIC website.
2. Deadline: Nominations are accepted on a rolling basis, but must be submitted by the 1st of each month to be considered for that month's spotlight.
3. Information Required: The nomination form should include the nominee’s name, contact information, a brief biography, and a summary of their contributions or achievements.

SELECTION PROCESS

1. Review: The Chapter Social Media Chair and/or Member Engagement Committee will review all nominations based on the eligibility criteria.
2. Selection: Minimum of One (1) member, up to three (3), will be selected each month to be featured in the Member Spotlight.
3. Notification: Selected members will be notified via email and if needed asked to provide additional information.

RECOGNITION

1. Feature Article: The selected member will be featured in a dedicated article on the OSWAPIC website and in the monthly newsletter.
2. Social Media: The member will also be highlighted on OSWAPIC’s social media channels.
3. Event Recognition: The member may be recognized at chapter events, such as monthly meetings or annual conferences.

FORMAT

OSWAPIC Member Spotlights will be shared on, but not limited to:

• Social media: The offical OSWAPIC LinkedIn Member Group (OSWAPIC Chapter Members) and Instagram (@oswapic_014)
• OSWAPIC Newsletter: This ensures that even members who don't regularly visit your website will see it.
• "Member Spotlights" section on the OSWAPIC website: This makes it easy for members and prospective members to browse all your spotlights.

PRIVACY AND CONSENT

1. Consent: Selected members must provide consent for their information and photo to be published.
2. Privacy: Personal information will be handled in accordance with OSWAPIC’s privacy policy and will not be shared without explicit permission.

1. What is the OSWAPIC Member Spotlight? The OSWAPIC Member Spotlight is a program that highlights the achievements, contributions, and unique qualities of our members to foster community and inspiration within the chapter.

3. How can I nominate someone for the Member Spotlight? You can submit a Member Spotlight nomination by submitting a nomination form. Make sure to include the nominee’s name, contact information. We will reach out to the nominee and inform them they were nominated for the OSWAPIC Member Spotlight and invite them to fill out the Member Spotlight form. All nominators will remain anonymous.
4. Will my personal information be shared? Personal information will be handled in accordance with OSWAPIC’s privacy policy and will not be shared without explicit permission. Selected members must provide consent for their information and photo to be published.
5. Can I nominate myself? Yes, self-nominations are encouraged and accepted. Just skip past the nomination form and fill out the OSWAPIC Member Spotlight form.
